Dealership used car inspection
I picked up my 04 enthusiast at a Nissan dealership the first week of August; it had 25k miles on it. They said it went through the 120+ point inspection or whatever it is, but the more I read on here, the more little stuff I notice is wrong with my car. When I park in the garage and shut it, the clicking from the rear axle is very loud, every 5 gallons of gas i put in my car i have to wait a couple minutes, and the tire wear is a little odd, even with me only putting around 2k on it in 2.5 months (All stuff I've seen service bulletins on). For me to take the car to the dealership here to have it checked out for something under warranty is like 50$, and I'm a student so I don't want them to take my money and say I'm SOL. So I'm looking for some advice... Should this stuff have been picked up on in their so called inspection or not? I really appreciate any help!
You may have a guarantee with a used car, and you may not. I do not know because I have not read the paperwork.
The $50 fee is a bit unusual. It may be a diagnostic fee. You pay $50 up front, and the $50 is reimbursed after the work is completed. Charging for warranty work, regardless of what the fee is called, is wrong.

50 buck surcharge to check something under warranty? Nonsense.. maybe you should have another dealer etc.. take a look at your car. And those 120 point inspections arent worth damn Esp if the dealer's bad.
from what I remember the 50$ is a co-pay per say, Ill take another look at my paperwork
I won't be taking it to the same dealership I bought it from, might have to go over there next week

I have extended warranty (100k) and one time had to replace the ABS sensors (estimated $400.00 +/-) and I paid a $50.00 deductible. The dealership easily could have charged $100.00 because they were supposed to charge $50.00 for the diagnosis and another $50.00 when they received the parts and did the repair because it's considered as two different visits. What they did is leave the paper work open like it was only one visit. I'll pm you with more info. so you can just go to the dealership and probably won't have to pay the $$.

I work at nissan. There is no fee for having the car checked out. As far as service bulletins go, they don't have to fix anything that is a bulletin, only a recall. You can call 1-800-nissan-1 with ur vin number and they will tell u if u have any recalls but as far as ur axles go they should be warrantied. They just need to be greased. As far as how u have to pump gas, u need to pull the nozzle out just a little bit when u start pumping and u won't have that problem. That is a big problem on the muranos but should not be a problem at all with the z cars. I have three 350z's and the only problems I've ever had is the window motors and axles clicking.
