Default Engine Changes from showcar to "production"

Here is a pic of the engine that I've had since around October of last year. In the next thread, I'm going to put up a copy of the engine bay, as posted on the Yahoo Fairlady Z Club- pic was taken at the same event that our buddy Jeff posted all those pics (Thanks pal, you kickass).

Anyway, other than the strut tower bar, does anyone see any differences? I'm wondering if that front strut tower bar is going to be stock? Or are they showing a Nismo part already?

Anyway, I'm defintely a happy camper tonight with all these pics!!!

Ethan

Radiator cap has swapped sides and the production car has no fan shroud.

There's also two rather thick tubes just to the right of the air filter tubing that is not there on the production version.

One last difference I noticed. On the show car, there's something just in front of the big black plastic engine cover, that appears to be curved and rises up a bit.
On the production version it appears to be flat and doesnt rise up.
I'm not an engine guru, anyone know what that part is (the radiator cap is on it, so Im guessing it's the radiator?)

the strut bar is a standard~not sure if it's standard in US but it's standard for sure in Canada, try to look through ur broheure to see if they list that feature, if u can't find it then look at the US nissan site in the "build ur own" part, i've seen that it contains the front and rear strut bar in the Canada version~

Default Where is the battery located?

Anyone one want to guess where the battery is located? I have seen pics of engine bay, but never can locate the battery. Will it be in the engine compartment?

Let's play find the battery game. Is it under circle number 1, circle number 2 or maybe under circle number 3? Or perhaps you'd be willing to trade your battery for what is behind the curtin that Carol Marrel is standing in front of?

i think the battery is located in the trunk. It would help with the weight distrubution.

just in case you are wondering.
Thanks - that helps. I'm trying to learn all I can before my Z arrives.

i think i know where the battery is, look at the G35 sedan and u will get a clue, i think it's actually locate on the top left side of the engine(behind the heat wall), where there is a plastic cover, when u open it u'll see the battery.

that seems like a very likely thing, with the g35. but i truly think that the battery is out back, ala mercedes or bmw.

I ask where the battery was to someone and (ZISME, I think) it was said it is under the black plastic waffle looking thing in the corner of the engine bay (passenger side I think). I know there are alot of "I think’s" but I ask if it was in the trunk and the answer was definitely not.
