From this thread it's the 6607. I checked the "Fram Oil Filter" book when I was picking mine up and I know it was listed. The thread also has a breakdown on changing the oil as well some alternatives to the Fram filter. Someone else used the filter for a 2000 Maxima in this thread but I'm not sure how that is working out...

Just a friendly reminder (or you may not even know it existed) that you may want to try the forum search (see below) as I just typed in "Fram" to get the answer. Good luck.

Edit: Here's a good breakdown of oil filters, good and bad.

In the first thread you linked to I recommended the K&N HP-1008, however the tests being conducted in the second link hasn't tested the K&N yet, but it apparently be tested in the future.

The Z uses a very small filter. I'd be sure to get a good one and change it regularly.

Good luck.

BTW thanks for posting that "tutorial" on changing the oil Wayne. I'm sure it has helped a lot of people out. Last time I changed my oil I wanted to double check the oil capacity and read your thread to re-verify the correct amount (it's tough to trust a dipstick with so many twists and turns). As you suggested, I started up the car and checked for leaks, etc. I came in to get my wife as I had put chrome trim on the grill at the same time and came out to find my car had rolled down the driveway into the neighbor's fence.. After that "adventure" I came back in the house and kind of laughed that your thread was still up on my screen and your comment That's it. Now wasn't that easy? was right in the middle of the screen!

LOL, LOL. That's hilarious. I wonder if the car used my instruction that said, "Now slowly back off of the ramp so the nose won't scrape"!?!

OK, OK. So I left out one final step: Don't let your car roll into a fence. I'll put it in next time........
