Unhappy my new z got smashed

Some kid in a Jeep Wrangler went through a stop sign and smashed my drivers side. My car isn't a month old yet! I'm so depressed. My door won't close, my front quarter is demolished and he even knicked one of my rims and chipped the paint off that. I'm so afraid it will never be the same. I love that freakin car, I Zaino'd it 3 times already and was always so careful. Now it's all banged up, i feel like crying. The worst part was the kids jeep was fine.

WTF, that sucks man. I feel your pain. What did you say to the kid? You must have felt like smashing his brains out. I mean he ran a freakin stop sign. I'd be so pissed crying myself, sorry it had to happen to you my friend. He's gonna have to pay big time for this one, running a stop sign & smashing in a Z. He is even luckier that is Jeep had no damage. Unbelievable some of these idiots.

I hope the repairs go well and it looks like it never happen. Sorry again man.

Tim, that sucks. The damage doesn't sound that bad honestly. You'd be surprised how well body shops work, I doubt you'll be able to tell a difference after.

Don't skimp on any of the repairs, afterall, he's paying for it.

I was ready to really attack him and my girlfriend talked me down, it probably would have made it worse but it would of felt good to knock his teeth out. It's not a total but when i talk to the claims guy i'll give a shot at replacing the whole car but i know that will never fly. Thanks for the sympathy JonsilvZ, andrew and daveL. I know i sound whiny but this really sucks.

Yikes. Before I got my Z, I had a Jeep Wrangler, and it was nice to know that you don't care quite as much about dings and scratches. One time I was at a stoplight on a slight downhill and some 16-yr old girl was behind me not paying attention to what she was doing and just barely ran into my bumper. Scratched her Honda up pretty good, but after wiping my bumper, couldn't tell the jeep had been hit. If that had happened to my Z, I think I would have cried. Anyway, hang in there.

same thing happened to me in my truck, I caused about 5000$ in damage to 3 cars and a garage door(only 1 was my fault) and all 5000 of that was to there cars, I bent my rear bumper slightly, but ever enough that I cared.

somethin about the Z tho, Ive had it since it first came off the lot, it is mine, and every scratch, chip, and dent, I know was from my own neglect, really gets to me. but dont despair, get as much as you can replaced, not repaired. and drive on, no damage to drive train, most likely just cosmetic.

That sucks man- I would be pissed. But the important thing is that you're okay. I know how bummed you must be but if it makes you feel any better just think about how much the kid's insurance is going to skyrocket.

Tim, I am sooooo sorry When I got my ding I couldn't sleep until I fixed it. I took the car cover off this morning in the driveway and found out my fiancee put ANOTHER ding in my baby. That big
a-- cadillac has got to go. I JUST fixed the 1st ding last week. If I wasn't so small I'd nail him
Anyway, hope your baby is fine soon. We all feel for you!

That sucks man i hope that they can fix it up real good for you. But on the brught side now would be a good time to add a new body kit or some rims. The oem rims run 600 a piece and the bumper is like 500. You could definitely get some nice aftermarket stuff for those prices.

just my $0.02

big vehicles suck, if you aren't driving them (not in an arrogant way). I did $1500 in damage to a Town Car. Payed myself, didn't tell insurance folks. Worth it? Yes.

The estimate was for $3,500 anyday now i'll finally have it back. I think they are going to make the other driver 100% at fault as well. Things are looking up, I can't wait for the CT meet!

You got it back? Great. In the end, everything works out okay.

Looking forward to seeing you at the meet.

Now, if only I could get my scratch fixed.
