I don't miss CC. The base Z is a phenomenal performance bargain. You won't be sorry.

like otehrs said, the dimming mirror would be nice, but the cc is something i rarely use in my other car so it's not missed much, i have come across times i wished i had it but it's not too bad without it.

Why do you need CC on a sports car anyways?? I think its a waste. I never used it ever in my life. And I've driven from Buffalo to NYC in straight trips..

CC is rather nice to have in AZ since every road is straight and 45mph minimum. That being said, I really don't notice it much anymore - although I did at first (I'll admit it - I used to be a CC *****). The only thing I really wanted were the clear bumper lenses (the amber looks horrible imo) and aluminum pedals (how could you put black rubber down there when the rest of the car has AL accents)? Oh, and keyless. I installed all three for less than $150, and I'm pretty happy with the car. I'd save the $1000 or so and throw it into some mods to make the car unique.

ps - hdpd you scare me.

Wow where'd you find your aluminum pedals for less than $150?

EDIT: Nevermind, actually did some shopping around and found out that CourtesyParts was way over-priced.

Only used CC a couple of times in my old one and that was only when I was being followed by a cop in a residential area and I wanted to make damn sure I didn't creep above 35.

in the NISMO - it's manual, and imho - a waste of time.

I'd rather NOT have it...

So most of you Base owners agree that having the LSD, VDC and/or TCS is useless in the other trim levels?

I'm happy with mine . Here is something I have been thinking about after driving my friends roadster. Does the lack of lsd on the base models make if safer as far as fish tailing etc.? Comparing the two with the tcs off on the higher models?
What do you guys think?

I have accidently gotten squirly a coulple times, but when I drove the roadster it felt as if i can loose control a lot easier (tcs off) than in my base.

I was in the same boat as you with deciding to go with a base or not... I went with a 07 base.. I love it.. I do not miss/need cc.. I just went on a 6 hour road trip.. my ankle was fine. You will be fine, I promise. The electronic stuff makes everything more complicated anyhow.. IMO..

You have to be careful/responsible. I just got my 6MT Z a few months ago, coming from a Auto Integra I had a lot to learn as far as control and power are concerned.. My firend has G .. I do not like to be contricted.
