I currently drive a 2005 Mustang GT. it is fast.. I love the style of 350z and love the way I would be able to setup a audio system in it... Going fast isnt top priorty but I would like to know how hard it is to get it up to par with the Mustang... Maybe swap in some gears? 6sec 0-60 just seems a bit to slow I know Ill be doing traditional CAI/TUNE/EXHAUST but I wanna know how much id have to drop to make it quick. I was looking into STIs but I cannot see myself going from a sporty coupe to a 4door Also I will defiently be getting a 6Speed 350z If I do, dont know if that helps determining the mods, I wouldnt be able to live going back to a auto

oh, and don't forget..i'll tell you because advertisement has seriously messed peoples thoughts up on how fast those wrx's are...

realise the 0-60 on an 07 Z is 5.2 seconds...yet its rolling 5-60 start is still only 5.6 seconds...it only gained .4 seconds from launching.

Now check out that mitsubishi evo. that was ranked first..i know its not as fast as a wrx, but the 0-60 time is 5.1 sec...the rolling 5-60 is 6.7 seconds

Just trying to make a point...dont love a car just because it has a fast 0-60 time..look at the other specs..you dont wanna have to drop the clutch whenever you wanna have fun, do you?

Another thing I have been wondering about...

Everyone says Mustang GT's are faster than Z's...but yet my 04 z (popcharger only) automatic z beats my friends (k&n intake) 07 gt automatic everytime.

 

If you're gonna try and make a point, at least tell the whole truth and not some half-assed bullshit.

First off, a WRX can't touch an Evo. Let me know next time one runs a 12.8@107 stock. They can't keep up from roll either. Couple too small a turbo with too much displacement=no breath up top. Thanks.

Second, the reason why the Evo's 5-60 is slow is because of turbo lag (which it really isn't called turbo lag, but most people know what's meant by that).

Third... an Evo running 0-60 in 5.1? I lol'd. Try mid-4's. They're just too ***** to launch right.

Fourth... no one goes by 0-60 anyways. What's more interesting is 1/4 times and trap speeds. Tis is what's gonna impress the OP.

The '07 Z has to date ran a fastest/quickest 1/4 at 13.2@107. VERY impressive, and I believe it will only get better.

It's a much better car than the Mustang all around. Looks, out-the box performance, handling, build quality, aftermarket... I can go on for days. The only things the Mustang has over the Z is potential for power, cost for parts and bolt-on power made (not the Z's strong point).
