LSD and every day driving
Is there any real loss in not having LSD for everyday driving where you take a fast corner here and there? Does it affect it too much when you want to slide the rear out around a corner? Its looking like I may be getting a base model but dont want to be dissapointed. I dont plan on doing any autocrossing but want to still have the fun factor. Peg leg burnouts...I need to lie down.
Check the LSD thread in the engine/drivetrain forum for a discussion on this. My opinion: if you're an enthusiast, then you'll at least want the viscous LSD. Driving around town you won't really need it but the extra traction helps on a fast drive or on the track. I'm not really into making the back end step out unless I'm at a drift competition but you need a lsd for a controlled drift.
It shows up in straight lines mainly. if anything it can actually make cornering more difficult, as in typically, you spin the inside tire, outside holds, in LSD both spin, meaning drift, better be ready.
I like the LSD for spirited driving(and its priceless at the strip), enthusiast is a great value.
