Default Unable to access my350z from XP machines??? How come???

When I got home to my WinXP computer with a router (I've opened EVERY port and messed around with all the settings), I am unable to acess www.my350z.com

It states that I am unauthorized to view that page. THe thing is, I could understand if I have some setting issues at my home with my local network, but 3 friends of mine ALL have this same problem. I have to go to www.surfola.com and use thier system to access this site. When I use surfola, I don't get any pictures from this site. I do get all the pictures on OTHER sites too. WHat am I missing here? I know a few members from Freshalloy had these same problems and they just gave up on this site. I don't want to have to do this because this site has some of the best information regarding performance and modifications, but I can only access this site at work which is a big NO NO. Any information you guys can give me would be helpful! Thanks in advance.

Dennis

turn off your XP internal firewall. If you have a router, you don't need it. It has been know to cause problems like you stated.

Shouldn't be an issue with Zone Alarm- As long as IE has permission to access. I run ZA at home w/o problems.

My XP firewall is off, I don't have zonealarm or any other firewall. I have disabled the hardware firewall on my router, this is the ONLY site I get this at. I am connecting from Optimum Online. I even tried removing my router, connecting it directly to my computer through my NIC and disabling every security piece on my computer. It says that the problem is on port 80 (everyones HTTP port). I know that the port is open since I can surf every other page on the internet. I will go home and copy the screen and then paste it here for you all to see.

Does Norton Antivirus have something going on with it that would cause this?? It is just an antivirus program from what I know....

It is not XP. Read post here from home AND work, both XP systems. Actually, here at work they have firewalls and every other security thing you can think off and I still read and post.

At home through DSL and works fine.

I run both Norton & Zone Alarm on both my XP based computers and I have no problem getting into the site. It may have something to do with your router. Try bypassing it and see what happens.

XP HOME on Dell notebook connected to cable internet ( through wireless router & card) - accesses the site fine. Before my subsription to NAV ran out, I could still access the site just fine.

XP PRO on Toshiba notebook connected to cable internet (wired through wireless router) at home - accesses the site fine

XP Pro on same Toby notebook connected to LAN here @ work (w/ a sh!tload of security/firewalls) - accesses the site fine

Check the level of security on NAV.

I remember I once installed the NAV software to delete pop-up ads......and I could NOT get on a site at all that had pop-ups. So, I removed it

It isn't the router. I have completely removed the router from the system and it still blocks it. Right now, the router is off and I can't access it. I have no idea what settings I have changed (The funny thing is 3 of my friends have the same problem and so does another guy on freshalloy). It is the strangest thing and it is only this website....

That would be my first idea ... did you get banned by your IP?

In IE, try: Tools -> Internet Options -> Security Tab -> Default button. I don't know if it'll help, but maybe.

did someone install net nanny on your pc?
Log into administrator, disable the firewall and see if that fixes it?
Click properties on your network adapter, in Advanced see if internet Connection Firewall is unchecked.
Also see if you are accepting cookies on IE, whould hurt to enable it and see.
I'm out here in LI too, on Optimum Online and runs fine on all my XP machines.

I wonder if I did get banned by my IP??? I never thought I pissed anyone off. I am not really that type. Maybe something happened by mistake.

I know I do not have net nanny on my computer. I tried clearing everything on my computer to try to gain access. THis is what it says when I try to go to www.my350z.com

That sure makes it look like I have been banned by my IP. Are there any admins around that can help me out?!?
