Just came from Z club meeting, the pres said he got his new R&T today. They got the same #'s as his Subie 0-60 in 5.6 and 1/4 in 14.9 or 15, something way off the wall.

Motor Trend got 5.4 and 14.1 so R&T must be way off.

Actually here's the numbers
0-60 in 5.6
quarter in 14.3 @100.2mph
slalom was better at .89
and all of this with a weight of 3290
All of this with the Track trim. I really respect R & T so I'm kinda bummed.

I'd want more than 13HP from Intake/ECU/Exhaust + cost of factory install. 320HP maybe. (Poor man's 911) That's my goal.

ECU and Exhaust? Please.
Save your money. You'll spend maybe $1500 on those. The only redeeming value o them is if the exhaust is a 3 inch system that will eliminate back-pressure. If it doesn't have one already. I haven't heard anyone mention the size of it yet.
No, my money is being saved for a low boost turbo kit that will get the 119 hp so the car needs to break the 400 hp mark.
That's why I have the Enthusiast model, that $6K or so that I save from buying that or the track model is going to be well spent.

The stock Enthusiast will probably turn in the best number of all trims & you got $7K for mods. Sound plan. I couldn't resist those Rays / Brembos though.

That is a good plan, but haven't you ever thought about the guys that want to go N/A? Yes a turbocharger system would be great but not everyone wants to deal with all that stuff. exhaust/intake/ecu is simplified for most people. I personally will go with N/A for the first year and see how the VQ35DE responds to forced induction and then start getting a turbokit if available by that time.

I have not seen anything mentioned regarding whether or not they are disabling them. If the the runs would be better or not, depends on how agressive the system is. If it interferes with the minimum amount of spin, then it will probably slow the car. In ideal launches there is often a small amount of wheelspin. Traction control systems on most road cars are not beneficial for dry weather standing starts.

Where did you read that the engine making 444hp was a stock block? I would be pretty surprised if an open-deck block made that much hp without some reworking. That said 400hp out of that block might be possible...if we are lucky.
