In Canada it has nothing to do with income rates, or any of that stuff. Cars here have always been disproportionately expensive, roughtly 150% the price. A new C6 Z06 is about 110 000 USD here. It's BS.

Yep, and our McDonalds Big Macs are cheaper. But people with qualification in the US get paid far more than here. Labour is very expensive in Australia so a factory worker on a very low pay rate gets paid $35k a year ($33k USD). Whats a factory worker get in the US?

This question has been asked before OP. hehe

In NZ a new 350 is between 70-76k NZ$, so that's about 33/34US$. Can pick up a pre-loved 2002/2003 350 for around 26k upwards now.

Just saw an article that said mean income in Norway was 63k and change. So it isn't like they are wallowing in cash. I work as a mechanic in a food production plant in the USA. I make 58k a year if I work 40 hours a week with overtime we have guys pushing 100k.

If we are working the same hours for the price of a 350 how come there are barely any around, from what I gather reading this forum their pretty populated accross the states. If the affordability is the same, why are their so noticably less here? I'm only guessing that no one wants to be spending 65 gorrilas on a car when they can get the same performance out of evos at 55k and sti's even less? Do Australians just not want to spend 'as much' on cars?

^ people in different contries are not working the same amount of time for cars. In Canada the cars on the road are much cheaper than in the states because people can't afford nicer cars here. The mean income in about 40K a year, and a 350Z costs about 53K to put on the road. You just don't see them around as much.

The quoted Cdn price is for a semi-loaded model. They don't sell the entry level model in Canada. I don't know why, but they don't.

You would need to compare something like a US enthusiast to a Canadian Z to compare apples to apples. We're still getting screwed up here, but not by the same margin as the blog suggests.

You know the GTR is being covered here (like everywhere else I guess) in all the car magazines like Wheels and Motor and what not.... the prediction is $Aud 150,000 - 160,000. With all due respect, I mean I am loyal to Nissan.... but I wouldn't fork out 160,000 for a Nissan! Am I the only one who thinks the badge isn't worth the price tag and that that will be one of its major selling issues. The performance is too rediculous, to appeal to every car enthusiast...
