Default 370z Worth the Wait?

Ive been reading and wanting a 350z for over 3 months now Im saving up and I was planing on getting it in Spring of 08 but the more I read about the 370z the more I want to wait for one.

I was going to buy an 07 or 08 brand new so it would cost a little under 30,000 dollars. Will the 370z pricing be similar from what youve heard? I cant wait for the 2010 370z I would get the first year 09 370z without a doubt, waitin another long year would be bad enough.

If its still relativly close to 30,000 dollars maybe my v6 stang can hold up another year. Worth the wait? Anything wrong with buying the first year 370?

I will be getting a next gen. Z for sure..year wait for completely revised car will be worth the wait but I would wait and see how first production goes mainly based on price and reliability issue..

If you like the current Z, I'd get one now. I highly doubt you'd be unhappy with a 2007 or 2008. It's a great car.

id wait but like xjohn said, see if there is any reliability issues. you'd think nissan would fix the quirks by now, hell, even the 07 has clutch issues

Plus nobody knows if the 370z is going to be a 2009 model or not for sure. Rumor mill says it may even be 2011 before we see a redesign. I got a 2007 this summer and have been very happy with my decision. If a 2009 redesign does come around it will be hard to stay away from the dealership though.

I'd wait another 10 years for the 400 but, that is just me.

Nissan is going to continually improve the car with each new model year. If you keep waiting to get the next "improvement", you might as well not even bother. Just get the current model and be thankful that you can afford to own a new car.

no sense in waiting for something that no one has a clue when it is happening and Nissan hasn't even confirmed its existance will appear.
Granted it likely will, but why wait if you dont know for sure anything about it, but rumors?

Get a 350z now. Trade it in later if (and when) the 370z comes out.

Easy solution...

I read that the 370Z is going to be a smaller lighter car than the 350Z. Is the interior going to shrink along with the car. One of the only reason I bought the car was because of the leg room it had compared to other cars. I hope the 370Z wont have the leg room of a miata.

Ya from what I read its more likely to happen in 2011 which meens it wont be safe to buy one until 2012 so im thinkin I will just get an 07 or 08 and put intake and exhaust on it then wait it out.

If the rumors are true about the 09 gaining like 20 Hp and then the revamp in 2011 I migh just have to wait a tad longer to get a 09.

Default Forget the 370Z. Wait for the 390Z.

Look forward to seeing you on the 10th Annual Spring Skyline Drive, VA Cruise.

The new 3.7L looks sweet with new body style. But the exterior wont change much. You get a bump in hp like 340. I would get the 08 Z its quick enough.

Everything I've heard points to a 370z (Z33 chassis) for 2 years (2009 and 2010) and then the redesign.

Speaking from experience, I don't think I'd ever buy the first model year of a car again. I have a 2004 RX-8 and have paid dearly for it. Several recalls, TSBs, engine replacement, a ton of times in the shop. I love my car and it's fine now, but you have to be willing to deal with all the hassles the bugs a new model will have...or stick it out for a year and get the second model year where the known bugs are worked out.
