Default Cost of ownership and average MPG over 23k miles

Not trying to make any points, just a few observations that I thought might be useful for someone considering purchase...

Keep in mind the average MPG is calculated by the onboard computer.

After break-in miles I reset the MPG and have left it alone ever since. I often drive aggresively but 75% of the 23k is probably highway. This isn't a daily driver, mainly used for frequent weekend trips.

Average over 23k miles... 23.8 MPG (966 gallons)

At $3/gallon = $2899
$2899 / 23k miles = $0.126/mile or $12.60/100 miles

Throw in 6 oil changes at $30
$3079 / 23k miles = $0.133/mile or $13.30/100 miles

I'm due for tires soon, throw that in, say $175/tire X 4.
$3779 / 23k miles = $0.164/mile or $16.40/100 miles

Because it would vary wildly between owners I did not include insurance and annual property taxes.

That's all.

Good info. But you might be in for quite an awakening when you go to get those tires. Last time I replaced mine I paid around $300 per corner by the time they were mounted and balanced (Michelin PS2's).

Michelins are a rip off. You don't need to go with those to get a great tire for a cheaper price. He can get some good tires for the price he said.

Is that an oilchange at a dealership, or doing it yourself? My dealership charges $65-70 per oilchange and I don't even think it's Synthetic...

Dealership. Standard lube/oil/filter. If I was getting charged $70 I would be changing it myself.
