Default Trip Computers says ICY?

Yep, it is there just under the speed display, in the trip computer.

The display for temperature is gone, and is replaced by this.

What does this mean?

uhhhhh it should still read a temp, and icy comes on when temp is below 38(or 37?) degrees... but unless your location is incorrect and you actually live in antartica, Id say somethin went wrong, bring it to the dealer.

Just had my LCD monitor fixed today, and of course the center dash has to be removed.

Could it be that the guy touched something inside that dash?

On the way down to Goulburn last weekend the temp dropped to 3deg C and I also got that ICY warning. After a couple of minutes it went back to the previous display but the ICY bit remained until the temp went up a few degrees.

I thought I read in the manual that's the normal behaviour?

How cold was it when it came on?

This afternoon, it was around 16C when it comes on.

I think the audio installer might've touch something.

yeah it should still say the temp. Back when i first got my car in Dec. I was traveling to my cousin's house and the temp was about 35F.. it said icy on the bottom but still said the temps. Manual states it comes on at a certain degree to remind you that the road condition may be icy

I guess the cold air intake you installed is working better than expected.

Is your "Service Engine Soon" light on as well? This exact thing happened to me after I installed my computer and was messing around behind the dash. It went back to normal all by itself in about 2 days. The SES light has persisted for the last 4 days however.

I don't think the Aussie models have the SES light.

16degC definitely isn't right. You're probably correct in that the installed has bumped something.

Default Icy trip???

Check with your dealer.

Mine started reading 'Icy' even when above 50 degrees, also gave wrong readings for tire pressure. Blinked for weeks.

According to my Dealer, several Z cars have had that problem, and the dealer reset the computer (or whatever). End of problem.

When I first complained in December, they claimed never to have heard of the problem.
