Default Switching Gas??

Hey guys I have been stalking the forum for a while now. Getting all of the research possible before i get a Z.
Anyways my question is: Is it possible to change the type of gas the Z uses?

I know it says to use supreme gas but someone said it is possible to go to an auto shop and run some computer on the car to make it possible to run on regular gas. I thought it couldnt be true but I thought I would bring it to you guys to get the real answer.

It's not the smartest move. For your engines best performance and for long lasting. They prefer you use Premium or Supreme to prevent knocking.

It's an expensive car, if you can afford the car, you can so afford the extra $0.20 for each gallon.

If you replaced the motor with a steam engine you could run on water.

Agreed, the benefits outweigh the costs, putting higher quality fuel gives you more performance, more economy whilst being cleaner and purer. The differance on a full tank is only a few bucks.

When you have a child you always try give it the best... not the cheapest!

Actually, it would be about $2-$3 extra per tank. If fuel is really a problem, get something that does not require 91 octane.

Oh no... Somehow, I know that this thread is going to turn into "Someone told me you can make the Z run on hydrogen!" I remember that undying thread from Zdriver.

It comes out to like an extra $200 annually. If you can't afford that then I think you should pass on the car and get a corolla....

not much difference between regular and supreme. If you can't afford the gas you wont be able to afford the maintenance. Get a hyundia

I have an interesting question pretaining to this. It's not something dumb. Just something to wonder. Obviously it says the Z should run on 91 octane. By me I rarly find 91 so I need to use 93.. Now it wouldnt be smart running on 89?? Or would I be ok running 89?? Also.. If say that isn't what I should use and never go under 91.. If I'm filling with 93 and say I run accross a gas station that has 91.. Am I able to mix the 2?? Or if I'm using 93 should I firmly stick with it??

Yes, you can mix both or even of lesser grade, but I wouldn't mix with lesser grade unless I'm out in the boonies and there's nothing higher than 89. Also avoid fuel that have detergent in it. It just sound like you get less fuel with the additional detergent. Not sure how reliable those detergent really are or probably more like fillers.
