Major Site Overhaul?
Half of the things I click on when going to the my350z.com home page bring up a "The site is undergoing a massive overhaul and will launch with a new look and feel, on or around July 5th." Message......well obviously its well past July 5th. Are there any webmasters reading this that can shed some light on the situation?

Yup yup... when the site was built, we didn't know squat really on the Z. I have gone through several versions of the new site, but kept changing formates/looks after I found something I didn't like but I now have a solid foundation and I as well as others (staff if you will) are hard at work putting the new version of the site together.
We were hoping for a launch this week, and we're trying to hit that but obviously I have no control over other staff members and since I am building a site that uses some things from them, it might be a few more days yet... but it is well worth the wait. I have things to finish up on while staff do their work, so it all works out nicely.
For the record... there is but one webmaster (yours truly). There are some staff though... they'll all be listed in the new site. There are also a great deal of new areas, a simple break down is as follows. I won't be answering questions on these areas though, it takes away from working on the site. In other words, you'll have to wait and see.

The forum will remain 99% exactly as it is, with the only real change being the header will change... to match the rest of the site of course.
The colors will also change, gone will be this god forsaken blue.
The new menu will be draped across the top, easy to navigate the entire site, regardless of the page anyone is on. I am 99.9% sure everyone will think it's a MAJOR improvement.

The proposed site changes (additions?) seem cool. I have a request...if thats legal! For those of us who install car aduio and will need to basically rip the entire car apart, a section that has info relating to (for example): how to remove door panels, or how to get that 4gauge wire through the firewall, or the best place to set a ground wire in the trunk, etc...
Trending Topics
I'm sure Jay has thought of this. Lets wait until the car arrives before we have sections titled "service", "repairs", "tips", etc. I'm sure thta you will be able to find tips about door panel removal etc., in Jays new "sound" section under articles.

There will be a rather extensive sound area, detailing all the goodies like taking apart the doors etc... but of course we need a Z to do this with first. (heh)
I didn't forget the 350Z store items... check the last category, the last thing is 350Z merchandise.
We be set. (when it goes live that is)

I hate to complain but that seems like an awful lot of different forums. I like the fact that the latest news, reviews, pics, etc all now come out on just one forum (general). Anyone else think this might make it harder in some ways to find all the latest?
It will be good to have all the forums for thoes that need quick info and will become easyer to browse, At Acura-CL.com if u don't check it at least daily threads get lost. in a day something can move from the first page to the 3rd or 4th, and it is just too much in one place so it becomes overwelming. it means lookin at more forums but u can read exactyl the type of info you want to without searching too much
