wussup everyone...
well a person backed up into me today and did some pretty good damage on my front bumper and hood :/ the person is going to cover it with her insurance but i was wondering if there is something good that i could possibly get out of all this besides possibly having a salvaged title slapped on my car's record? by "something good" i mean something i didn't have before the car got hit..possibly repainted lip or shaved emblem?? i always wanted my front bumper's emblem shaved but judging by the looks of the front bumper, its going to need to be replaced. do you think i could still get it shaved w/out charge ?! i really appreciate the feedback. thanks!

how on God's green earth do you hope to get a salvage title for someone backing up into your car? Unless their car can go 85 MPH in Reverse.
Well, you really can't take advantage of the situation other than just negotiating with the insurance company / adjuster. You will have to pay the difference generally speaking. The insurance company will pay to bring your car back to the condition it was before you got hit. If your lip was part of the bumper, then go ahead and it will also get painted like brandnew. As far as the shaved emblem goes, if you can't find a bumper without it, you can just ask for it and pay the difference ($50 roughly)

Same thing happened to me, sux. Luckily I caught the guy. Check from the guys insurance came the other day, $600. I'm kind of in your same boat, trying to decide what to do with the money. I've been thinking of shaving the emblem, adding a lip and just paying the difference. Not sure if I want to go that route yet though.

It's no wonder we are in shape we are & insurance cost is what it is!
