Default 350Zs have arrived in the Port of LA

I found a source that told me the cars arrived in the Port of LA yesterday the 10am. Another shipment of Zs will be coming in on Friday. He could not tell me how long they take to process the cars once they land.

The guy I talked to works for DAS.

I can not wait to get my car!

Can you ask him if they are processing all cars there or if their offices in Jacksonville, and Newport will also do that for cars arriving through those ports?

I asked about VIN#s and he said he could not give out that information. I do not know about DAS's other locations, nor do I know other ports outside of Calif.

You might want to try searching on Google for info on where Nissan imports cars outside of Calif. I believe all the cars being delivered to the Western US will arrive in the Port of LA.

I'm surprised he can't give out the info on one digit. I have my VIN, but my number starts with a 1007xx... I wonder if the 0 or 1 indicates port delivery or something to that extent...

Default You have your VIN# ?

How did you get your VIN#? My dealer said he was unable to get the VIN# for me. Does that mean he is not telling me the truth?

I think if we logic it out,
we come up with this:
All naughts= pre-production
10...= production.
Or...
two differing assembly locations.
But since we know the cars are being assembled in...?

So, will the infamous E-Bay car carry which VIN?
Easy, Peasey!
Or I am completely full of it?

I went in to chat with the sales manager yesterday, and asked him if he had the VIN number by chance. He had all the preorder VINs since all 14 preorder slots were filled by late February. I ordered mine Jan 17...

Actually, you got a 0, not a A. Nonetheless, I got a 0 too, so I don't think the 0s are pre-production

Default What dealers have given out VIN#s?

I am getting mine from Serramonte Nissan in Northern Calif. To those who have received their VIN#s: Where and what dealers have given you this information and When have you been told that you will get your cars?

I have been told the 21st of August. (I ordered my car in January)

...and those digits after the "T" and before the "9", they should be zero's, not letter O's.

Can you comment on why dealers have VINs and some don't? Can you confirm or deny whether all dealers should or shouldn't have vins? Annnyy Vin information either one way or another would be awesome!

Unfortunately I am not a USA VIN expert. It seems unusual that there are two different sequencings in such early days of production within one sales market.
Dealers without VINS, maybe the regional offices are handling things differently in differing areas. Different managers in each region.
Maybe the dealer does not want to commit to one exact VIN.

A lot of inconsistencies.

Then the only logic would be two different lines because the assembly plant is called out in the VIN, no?
Another issue to ponder!
If those VIN's are accurate.

I think I can ask the question next week if I am in the right place at the right time.
