Default Well looks like I'll be moving on.............

Well it's been 3.5 years with the Z now and I am getting the usual itch for a new car. A few days ago I put in a factory order for an 08 Corvette Coupe.

I ordered an Atomic Orange w/2-tone interior(ebony/cashmere), Z51 package, 6-speed manual, dual mode exhaust, 3LT package, NAV and polished/forged wheels. I am getting a $59K MSRP car for $52K which is invoice. Not too shabby a deal I think.

The Z has been great and so has this board. I actually haven't decided on what to do with the Z. I have about 4 to 5 weeks to think on it as I wait for my Vette to be built. I am trying to decide on whether to take the easy path and trade it in or put it up for private sale.

I know I will get more in a private sale but it can also be more of a hassle. My wife, bless her soul, told me I should keep it since I don't owe that much on it. I don't think it's practical to have TWO 2-seater cars.

Well thats it just wanted to share.

I think he meant to write "two". It would be impractical to have two two-seaters.

I wouldve went with a 4door beast like the MB C63. Running low 12s and carry 5 people, decent trunk for $60k.

Good choice man. If you don't owe much I would possibly keep it but otherwise trade it in as it also stops you from paying tax on that much money so it may also save you an extra 2k from what your trade is worth and it really saves the time if selling the z. But good choice.

congrats! welcome to the lsX family...im sure you will enjoy it very much. the same it is happening here, with the new g8 coming out and 05 vette prices dropping from the intro of the ls3 it looks like it is becoming that time to add another ls2 to my family

Nice upgrade. I know you will enjoy the power. Keep the Z for the wife. See how that goes until you pay it off.

Default Congrats

I wish you well. I tried to buy an new 08 vette with the same equipment as the one you have ordered. Drove five, yes five new corvettes and all had quality issues that discouraged me from buying, so I bought my 350Z.

I was an active member of the corvette forum and when I posted my story, I got many, many a hole responses about the piece of junk I was buying etc. It's nice to see the 350 Z forum members being gracious and positive about your new purchase. I truly hope you have better luck than I with your new corvette. Vettes are/were great cars, had two of them in the past. This is my first 350Z and so far, it's great.

Again, congrats and good luck.
