When someone buys **** with an american brand name or european name product and the stuff comes with made in taiwan or china sticker its like they are lying to you. You are paying, for a name most of this american company **** is made overseas.

You should care where the stuff is made because its a big difference in cost between something made in China than the U.S.

The Nissan oil filter is now made in China. Used to be made in Japan. Thats why I go with the Mobil 1 which is USA.

Lightbulb All the nuts and bolts on a 350Z are in mm.

If you buy aftermarket performance bolt-ons, many are in inches. Why not make the nuts and bolts in mm like the rest of the car?

Question And one more thing...

Tire diameter is in inches but the width is in mm. You would think that the tire industry could pick one standard: all inches or all mm.

Thumbs up

This is an interesting thread = not boring!

I was just thinking about my sponsors for the car:

Braille = USDM
Skunk2 = USDM
Vortech = USDM
Spec Clutch = USDM
Enkei = Global brand
Tomei = mostly JDM
JIC = JDM
Wilwood / Fastbrakes = USDM
K Sport = USDM / Global

The advantages of a US company = better understanding of our environment and our US market racing needs. Also, shipping is less expensive and faster.

It's also nice not to have to pay international rates to call to ask a simple tech question.

Correct me if I am wrong, but there are more Nissan 350Z's in US soil than any other country. This means that there are more drivers and possbily more tuners for these cars. It also leads to the fact that more racers are using this car, and more R&D in our real world environments is taking place.

I am also thankful for US Time Attack and Road Racers, along with drag racers, drifters and a few rally guys whom seek the best for our cars internationally!
