Japanese car...American aftermarket parts. Anomaly.
I was just sitting here and realized that I'm driving a Japanese car, and yet all of my aftermarket pieces are American, down to the suspension. Random, thread, I know. But it's just an observation I made, since I can't fall asleep for some reason.
Funny thing is is that even my future mods are from American brands, Fast Intentions, Berk, and Axis. Hehe. And it's not intentional or anything, these parts are simply what suit my needs and tastes. I just find it ironic.

Don't worry I'm on the same boat as you. Why pay more for something that works the same or even better just because it's "JDM"? Personally, I choose parts that are both within my price range and performance.
Well, from all the searching I've done, I chose these parts, regardless of price, because they seem to be the best and most highly regarded (with the least bad things said about them). The MD plenum spacers, for instance, are unquestionably the best out there. Hotchkis owners go crazy for how great the springs are. After researching exhausts, Borla TD owners seemed to be the happiest, and the exhaust seems to be highly sought after.
Fast Intentions also makes incredible exhaust parts, such as their test pipes and dual exhaust systems. Stillen makes a great dual exhaust too. And Berk makes fantastic HFCs, for instance.

It is what it is man. Hondas are made in Ohio, Mitsubishi's are built in Illinois, Hyundais are built in Alabama, and Fords are built in Mexico and Canada. Nothing is cut and dried anymore.

They are distributed through Axis in So. Ca and made in Taiwan. Most if not all products made overseas are distributed through American companies, doesn't mean there is anything American about them, other than who you give your money to.
Maybe they were 'designed' at Axis in So Ca, but I don't consider them to be American wheels, anymore than a Ford are Chevy are American anymore.
Lets face it damn near everything comes from China, Taiwan, Mexico or Japan. What's funny is now fine China is made in Alabama. WTF?

F?
it works the same in which the red neck who is screaming "drive American!" at you is most likely wearing a t-shirt that is "made in china" that was purchased in local WalMart.
or one story I have to tell you all:
I was on line to get my Chicken Teriyaki from Sarku Japan at the Garden State Mall. This hispanic lady cuts me off, and started ordering her chicken teriyaki. At first I didn't say anything but a moment later she asked me to pass a fork and a straw. I told her to get it herself since she cut me off. Here is the kicker, she told me to go back to my country with her heavy spanish accent. I stood there dying laughing at the lady with all other people on Japanese food line. LOL

Who cares where your stuff is made. As long as it works the way you want it. I agree that Jap. Parts are being known as soft and not as good as euro parts or now american parts. W.e tho. Have fun. Spend your money on your car rather then ur grl lol.
