Default Moving My Z

I'm currently living in seattle, and was just offered a job in LA. I don't have a ton of stuff, but I do have more then what I had when my last big move from home to college.

Can anyone give me some advice on the best way to get my Z and all my stuff from LA to CA? I figure my options are:

1) Pull it on a trailer behind a UHAUL
2) Pay to have it shipped down
3) Fly back to seattle and drive it down seperately.

Anyone have any idea what it would cost to get a car shipped?

Eric

I had my 350z shipped when I moved from Houston to Reno last month and it cost me like 600$ (initially I was quoted 550$ but they claim that the diesel price went up). When you ship make sure you get it done by someone reliable. You can check at http://www.transportreviews.com/ for reviews. I used Interstate Auto Movers who in turn used Complete Auto Sales. When Complete Auto Sales delivered the car (a week later than schedule) I noticed a small scratch right next to the passenger side mirror and complained about it. But those morons denied it even though it wasnt mentioned in the pickup checklist. The idiot I spoke to on the phone was damn rude and just hung up on me. So beware !!

I bought my car from Louisiana, and I live in Houston. I didn't want to drive my brand new car from Louisiana to Houston, so I hooked a u-haul trailor onto the back of my dad's truck and went to Louisiana to pickup the Z.

Honestly it was a pain in the @ss.
When we got to Louisiana, the sale went smoothly, but getting the car on the trailor without scratching the front bumper was a b!tch. After sweating for hours in the Louisiana summer, we finally got the car on safely. I was so happy. The trailor only cost like $39 or something.

Thumbs up ^

Most likely the best solution. This is one of those “doing it right” by “doing it yourself” type of scenarios.

However, if you ding up your Z, go easy on yourself. You’ll live longer.
