With regards to the possibility of having different final drive ratio, my car topped out in 2nd, pinging off the limiter at 59, completely stock (to my knowledge) but bought used. It could be that someone changed that out on yours and possibly mine as well? Thoughts?

We ran again last night and same result. We even switched drivers. There is absolutely nothing my car can do to keep up with his. I even got a better launch from a dig. @ 39 degrees F, it's hard to catch grip.

One thing is for certain: his clutch pedal is significantly stiffer than mine. Of course, all base models have a soft clutch pedal (that I've driven). And I checked his gearing, same as mine (stock).

Lighter wheels and variability in engines is probably the factor.

i talked to a mechanic about this cuz wtf, it seems to come up alot! He said cars run the way they are broken in. If you break it in like a grandma, and then start beating the shi t out of it after 1500 miles, its not gonna react the same as if you beat on it from day one. its been said that if you break your car in like you stole it, the rings will seal better than if you break in according to manufactures recommendations. thus creating more power or"factory freaks"

check www.mototuneusa.com

p.s. i broke my 08 in like they stated on the web site. im a risk taker. my car runs like e beast! my 02 pennies.

You cant be serious. You do realize that you break in MOTORCYCLE engines that way not with cars. Oil will be your best friend very soon...
