i KNEW when I saw the OP handle that the whole Z V. SS would somehow subtly come up...
still, for 2k you can get some nice bolt ones. I would also take off the CAI, sell it and spring for at least a JWT popcharger. then maybe a plenum spacer and if you have some more cash a nismo exhaust. Nice conservative bolt ons for pops! And he'll sound good too!

For me I am doing a true dual exhaust and then a tuner. With the tuner he can basically tune the car out to run 100% and then any mods he adds after will add that much more power. With anything left get the plenium spacer and the MREV2

I got the RevUp in my 05.
Anyone wanna buy a K&N CAI? Think I'll throw on the ol' stock air box and give her a spin.

I didnt come here to start an online battle, i came here to get some advice for my dads car. /rant

I dusted one one night,3 times in a row. He asked if I was turbo. I was stock with bad transmission and had a 360lbs passenger.

Okay people, could we please get back to the issue on hand instead of beating on this fine gentleman's car of choice. It really isn't that big of a deal. And to the idiot above me who said Cavalier SS, you really have no clue about the Cobalt. GTFO, you have nothing to contribute.
I would say start with the K&N drop in. K&N makes good stuff, I personally love em, and then go with the true duals.

by the way...i beat modded z's by a length and a half. you dont even want to ask when im on the bottle. and i dont have the ricer wing. dont get me wrong, i love the z's...it just irritates me that you ridicule the type of car i drive. this is my car anyway

2 Doors or 4 doors, that does not matter to me. The average guy would never know what hit them when they line up next to that car. GM is known for estimating the HP of their engines. A short while back the EPA (i think correct me if I am wrong) released a new way of estimating HP for new cars. Every GM car I looked at went up a few HP and the few foreign cars I checked went down in HP. The opposite happened with mpg...LOL Blazin, correct me if i am wrong, but the hp curve for your car from the brochure hits the 240ish and then flat lines to the redline. One would think that gm did this for some insurance reason.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Z. I have driven faster and I know that there are plenty of fast cars out there. You don't know if a car is a sleeper until it is too late
