Every GM car I looked at went up a few HP and the few foreign cars I checked went down in HP. The opposite happened with mpg...LOL Blazin, correct me if i am wrong, but the hp curve for your car from the brochure hits the 240ish and then flat lines to the redline. One would think that gm did this for some insurance reason.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Z. I have driven faster and I know that there are plenty of fast cars out there. You don't know if a car is a sleeper until it is too late

^lol there are plenty of ppl here from S.FLA. anyway, with your year and tranny, I would get this for the most performance
N/A. MREV2 (a lower plenum by motordyne eng.), a 5/16th plenum spacer (again from motordyne), a true dual exhaust
(most recommended exhausts are Fast Intentions, HKS, topspeed, too many to list, do a search for this), put back the stock
air box, the cold air intake robs horsepower, and thats it if you want to keep it simple.

I didnt come here to start an online battle, i came here to get some advice for my dads car. /rant
