Honestly I have a stock 350Z. And I was simmering the idea of modding. I was just looking up basic stuff... as I was reading people's posts on Exhausts I realized i was in wayyyyyy over my head. I guess thats when I realized I should learn about all the most common mods/parts and what they do.

i'm sooooooo going to get ragged on for this but back when i was thinking of buying the z and wondering what i could do to it, i picked up this book
http://www.dummies.com/WileyCDA/Dumm...764571427.html
for a simple, basic overview of what different modifications are, what they do, what would be beneficial depending on what you want to do with the car, legality issues, etc. it's been suuuuuper helpful.

i read a LOT on here before i created an account and before i bought the book. there were a lot of simple *** questions i had that aren't answered in a forum like this because it's thought to be common knowledge, and if someone asks such questions they get flamed all to hell. i'd rather read a book than spend hours trying to get basic questions answered by know-it-all forum members.

You're past the newb stage after you posted 1,000 posts and have at least "1" iTrader point.
