^ Your right on about one thing, it wouldnt prolly sell on here. From this point on im sure anything you try to sell wont. Kayfunk it's never to late to step up and be a man about a mistake, which no matter how you cut it this is more your fault! I think you can still redeem yourself if you quite being a ***** about it and make it completely right. This forum is a great family who will stick w/each other, but will also forgive. Your window of forgiveness is rapidly closing though.

This guy is some character. Now he says that he can't refund your money cause you talked a lot of crap about the exhaust. And because of that, everyone on this forum knows is a piece of ****. LOL. Seriously, how old are you?

Kramykram, can you post high resolution pictures of the exhaust. I know it looks like **** but I really wanna know if this scammer didn't know it was that bad of a condition. Thanks

lmao, you're an idiot, i never told you that you could'nt come into the shop, you really need to stop saying that. I truly did have to go to work, i had to be there within the next few minutes, i stayed, made sure you got there fine, talked with you for a minute or two, and then had to head to work. You could have easily asked for the exhaust to be brought out to take a look at it, being as he had to wait to take your old one off for cool down! Let's not turn this into an e-thug battle about who could beat up who, I know where i stand, and you have no chance. I had purchased the HKS with my own money before you had paypal'd me anything. I arranged to pick it up that day. There's holes in the exhaust? where? Do you mean this?
a $20 tack weld, ill pay to fix it. and the canister is scratched, it's used, get over it, i even offered to pay to polish it. You're unhappy so you come on here and bash me without even giving me the chance to talk to you about it. That's pretty stupid on your part, we could have worked this out, after your actions you should be glad im still offering to pay to fix it.

Well this got out of hand fast.

Hey, Kram...bro, you're a stand up guy and we've done some transactions in the past. Just relax man and let Visa/Paypal do all the work. Don't self-incriminate yourself by posting worthless threats to a kid on a message board. Take a step back and collect your thoughts. I'm sure you'll get your money back since you took the correct steps.

YEA, SORRY I can't answer personal phone calls when im at WORK in MEETING WITH CLIENTS. I TOLD YOU SPECIFICALLY I WOULD CALL YOU WHEN I GOT OFF. THAT'S 3 TIMES YOU COULDN'T WAIT. You've landed YOURSELF in this position and im STILL offering to help you out, take it or leave it. Take the canister to a shop, have them sand it and polish it and weld it, i will pay up to $300 of the "damages", and a tack weld and a polishing job will cost LESS than $300, you will come out on top of this deal.

Thumbs down

How the flush can you miss that? That's a big a$$ exhaust leak right there. That leak right there makes your 350 sound like a bad case of diarreah. How the hell can your "FRIEND" at the shop miss that flange? He must be one sorry *** mechanic technician OR he must of known of the scam that you were pulling. You are a straight up scammer dude.

both of you are in the wrong.

1. The seller falsely advertised the product. Which could be taken to small claims court.

2. The buyer didn't look over the item before the transaction. Which could lose in court becuase you were negligent in looking at the product.

Both wrong.

kayfunk why dont your refund him, then since it wont take anything to repair this and sell it, you could be ahead. In more ways than one.

mark dont take his offer...if u accept his "300 to fix the exhaust" then u will not get ur full 700 back from ur visa becuz he will jus say he gave u money to fix it and u accepted it so then u would be **** out of luck. jus wait it out dont let him sucker u into this transaction

Wrong the buyer was told it was a gasket leaking by the MECHANIC in which mark had payed to install this(friend of sellers) then imagine the surprise when you go to fix a gasket and see this IMO mark would also win in court.

There is no scam here, i'm offering to have the cosmetic damage fixed, I don't see what the problem is. You guys can keep bashing me all you want, but i've offered to fix it, i'll leave it at that.

+1 mark wait until you either are made right by seller = 100% refund or by credit card. Your already out time and gas already regardless.

exactly, but i never false advertised anything. He knew about the leak before he drove back from atlanta, and i've even offered to FIX IT. If this went to small claims court the judge would more than likely allot me money for having my time wasted even after i offered to fix the exhaust.

^LOL your mechanic said the leak was due to gasket, NOT almost the whole freaking flange torn off. Im sure the judge would also see for that amount of money spent that this exhaust isnt up to par!!!!!

Dude,

There's nothing "COSMETIC" about a flange. That flange serves a purpose, and one of the purposes is for the car not to have an exhaust leak and make unwanted noises from the exhaust.
If you have "clients" then you probably make pretty good money. Why don't you be a decent person and refund that guy his money. You gave him a bad taste and he doesn't want 300 dollars to get it "fixed."

It is cosmetic, it can be welded and fixed. Thus making no leak. I know what a flange does. I'm being as decent as possible and offering to fix it. If i was in his position i'd take the money get it fixed and run the exhaust i bought. If anything i'd be beating myself up for being negligent and not checking **** out before i bought it.
