Only time i ever took my car to the dealer was for the free tires i got from the recall on alignment that i fixed myself. and b4 they even got the work done i got a call from service telling me at 20K i needed a tune up n yada yada. .i laffed at the guy. I wonder how many morons they get on that one. regardless gentlemen it's just a statement i made about coming to jerzee. .if your taking it to heart grab a cookie n take it easy. .im sure your Z will see the dealer for something else real soon!!

i couldn't order brake pads from the dealer without my cars VIN # so it doesn't suprise me they are pulling the belt loop tighter on this one.

If you bought the car from that dealer, shouldn't they have your VIN in their computer? I'm not buying that lame excuse. And you don't tear into a car without having the parts on hand - that is just plain disregard for the customer.
And removing intake and a couple of grounding wires should take all of 20 minutes. And...oh nevermind, that dealer is just your average idiot - customer service at Nissan is a total oxymoron in 90% of all cases.

And dealerships must first match the vin, then inspect to see if the replacement is necessary!!!! I told them my peddle had dropped to the floor once before, and thank god they got the parts ordered. but i was dropping my car off for the recall and didnt get it done, i was pretty pissed. so now i have to bring the car in next weeekkk...stupid nissan. I guess a lot of peopl are getting this done even if they dont need it and nissan is getting picky..

Did you not receive a letter in the mail about the recall? How can a dealer pull that crap if you have a letter saying your car is in the affected VIN range? I can see people who just make an appointment without the letter, but why would Nissan perform 3 hours labor for nothing? I got my letter but am putting it off a bit till the heat dies down.

raise as much hell as you can, make a scene if you have to... that is about the only way to get through to them, or better yet, make a complaint to nna! 1 800 nissan 1 (you have to keep pressing numbers untill you get to an operator and then say i would like to file a complaint, alot of "press one for...., press two for...., etc...) after i filed a complaint it seemed that my car was out of that b*tch in a hurry!!! just tell them your story (like i did) and they will file it and then let the dealer know IMMEDIATELY! ive learned that to get anywhere these days you gotta be a complete as*hole until you get what you want
