Silver is the best color for that car.
96 is cool too

The 96 was fun too but felt like a dog after the zxtt; still a great car. It was easy to work on too; dont let the rumors fool you. The cost of ownership is high too ie: insurance, parts
The 03 Z is faster but not quicker than the M3 but I liked the car much better. I guess that's 7 years of technology between the two.
My fave, the zxtt of course. Sure it was heavy, but you can get 400hp out of it and not even begin to stress that lower end.

Do you like have a car that 12 years old or a car thats 5 years old, you choice. By the way the M3 cost a lot more to take care of and 350z are relatively cheap to work on. Havent seen the cars or condition they are in, but I would say the Z, by the way you are in a Z web2.0 website.

the m3 is still there for me, while i now cannot find a 350 in my range ! id love to find one and go test drive it though, and the 03's tranny issue has me worried, as that is the year i would probably end up

Estorial blue was the best color for the e36 m3 hands down, nice car posted expecially with all those miles! 95 was actually a better year car to get if you wanted to tune the m, it had OBDI and had the 3.0 liter vs. the 96+ with the OBDII and 3.2liter motor. The 95 took much better to mods early on, the 3.2 liter wasn't noticably faster but now days there is a lot of aftermarket parts available for both of them. www.aatuning.com builds some nasty turbo bmw's! That website will give you some ideas of how expensive FI is for bmw's.

i found a 2003 redline 350z, 68k miles, he says maybe we can work out a deal of 15-15.5k, i offerd 14k, but he said thats what the dealer is willing to trade in on the car....hmmmm, 15k is wayyy outta my range, but finding one for 14k seems tough
