If all the parts are in GREAT shape and good price, what kind of parts will you buy if it's used?

i'd buy anything used.

 

Sorry guys, I am not just talking about our Z, I mean just used parts.
For example, I don't think you will buy a used turbo, but what about racing seat, exhaust, rims, coil over............ ??

 

Well it certainly depends on the condition of the part and from whom I am buying those parts. I consider both qulaity as well as price while purchaing any used part. Recently I bought used transmission for my Nissan titan 2004 from autopartsfair,
I am pretty happy that I got them in a decent condition with a year warranty on it.

 

Anything if it's in good shape.

I don't buy new if I don't have to. It's just a waste of money for something a little shinier.

 

FYI, this is not a WTB thread. This is simply a thread about wether or not you would buy used parts or not; and if so what.

Back on topic:
I would probably buy close to anything used, but high dollar stuff, I'd have to inspect in person prior. I would also never take someone's word on a "built" motor.

 

I'd buy almost anything used as long as it's in good shape. I ended up buying brand new rims and tires because I felt more comfortable getting something new and not having to worry about it but my exhaust and y pipe are used because I got them at a fraction of the cost and the guy I bought it from is a close friend who hardly put any miles on them and he helped me install it.

 

I only buy certain parts new just because of warranty issues and what not, but i do buy a lot of smaller parts used, mostly things with no moving parts
