Unhappy What can I do????

I bought a brand new 08 350z touring edition auto, and after fifteen days I have realized that I really want a manual transmission. I test drove a base one and I kept stalling it. After like two times I got it right I didn't have a problem from then on, but after that I kept stalling it, my biggestfear was never to be able to get out out of first gear by either stalling it or jerking like a freaking while horse so I went for the auto. Any hope for me? or Advice? No stupid comments please, I just wish for you guys to help me.

Sorry that you got a automatic. You could make out that it is a manual. A lot of the automatic guys do that.

I wouldnt touch it, just cut your losses by accepting the fact that you got an auto.

You should have went manual if you were even second guessing, all you had to do was spend a few days learning and you would have gotten it right.

It will cost you. The car has been registered to you so the dealer will not be able to sell it as “new.” Figure your trade plus $4,000.

Talk to the Sales-Manager. I know with my car, i had 15 days to bring it in, but i believe that is under a certain amount of miles too...dont quote me. i worked at a dealership and things work a little smoother for me than any day to day consumer.

how many miles do you have on the car? They might factor that in. you are losing about 20% of the downpayment if you decide to trade it in now, but read your contract papers.

just take the extra 20-45 dollars a month and get the manual if worst comes to worst. if you want a base model that is basically a 8k difference...per se.

gl, tell us what happens

They might. When i bought my 03 in sept. they gave me 30 days. If i wasn't satisfied they would let me get my $$ BACK.

I agree unless you sell as a private owner and then buy a 6 spd you are stuck with the auto unless you want to bite a big lost. Take it back to your dealership and tell him what you want, see if they don't try to stick it so far up your butt that your eyes bulges. If you have history with them they may work with ya, if not bring vaseline.

Best bet is to accept and use this knowledge for future purchases. i'd just go to different dealer ships and keep test driving the 6spd Zs. They will let you because they think you may wnat to upgrade.

Alot of guys love thier auto 350Zs others think a driver is not a sports car driver unless the car he drives is manual, even though Nasa cars are mostly auto shifter I hear.

Just go to your dealer and see what they can do. It might cost a little but you will be happy.
