Default Check out this J Spec 350z Awd

Here in Colorado Springs for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb.

We're trying to find a good place for them to do some runs here in town so they can tune it up.

Holy cow. Obviously not running with the VQ. Who makes these cars now? There's some serious tuning going on that I don't think we know enough about!

In case you don't recognize it, it's an RB26 engine out of a R32 Skyline GT-R.

Wow. That silver Z has got to be the best Z EVER! Nismo Kit, really nice looking wheels, and most importantly...the RB26. I am starting to wonder if an RB26 swap will be common on our car in the future...?

By what I know, Batlground did not make their Z awd's. I talked to Batlground concerning doing the swap, and actually price isn't as bad as I thought. 13k for the entire swap, and you have a perfect VQ motor to sell, which you can sell up for 5k, so really you're only paying 8k for a full rb engine in your Z. 8k is a lot, but compared to some of the turbo kits (not supercharger), 8k is cheap. Greddy is projected at 6k+intercooler (1200 or so), Total of 7,200 + 800-900 installation.. $8,000!

I haven't seen the car in person yet so I can't verify it's AWD status, but the guy who posted the pics in a local forum and asked for local help finding a local road to run the car without getting nailed by the police claims it's AWD status. I'm gonna try to get down and take a look at it today and I'll verify it. Doubt they'll let me put it on the lift to take pictures of it, but we'll see. Maybe I can slip the camera underneath and take a pic.

No they weren't built by batlgrnd.

If this is being done and the Z is not even a year old, I can see this becoming common in another year or two. Someone is bound to make the install kit and all you have to do is buy an RB motor.

Hope to have the dough to do something like that in the future.

For all you playa haters out there It is absolutely 100% AWD. Getting a video to prove it. I'll post the link when I got it.

This car is going to be bad *** at the hill climb. I'm gonna try to be at the race so I can take a vid of it kicking ***.

Not only is the car AWD but the RB26 is tuned to ~ 600hp without being increased to 2.8L or more. Also unless I am mistaken it has a 5 speed manual.
