Default Insurance

Now i still dont know why Men's insurance are higher than Women's insurance?

I think it should be equally the same. There are just as dumb women drivers as there are men drivers.

Sorry for your beautiful car!!

Damn sorry to hear that man. My fender got smashed in at an angle in parallel parked on a street in the middle of the night. Scratched my rim pretty bad as well.

Good things its just the fender, it was pretty reasonable to get that fixed.

he had the pic up, must have went down.
He basically got hit on the front of the fender and rolled the top of the bumper a little.

Damn buddy, that blows. Hope that bish pays a pretty penny for causing you all that trouble.

At first when I saw this I thought you were going to say it happened at Brightside, which was going to get me worried about my car being parked there.

ok i need some advise.

it turns out the lady that hit me is excluded on her husband's policy. their insurance refuses to pay me for the damages. i will have to claim it on my insurance under full coverage. if i do this, they will take away my discount for something i cant remember, so naturally i dont want to take this route. my initial plan is just to get an estimate from the insurance company and ask the man to give me the money or i will sue. best case scenario, he gives me the money, i cancel the claim with my insuance and no one is hurt. lets say he refuses to pay, which is the most likely outcome, what should i do? will the benefits outweigh the trouble? i mean, ill be happy if i just come out with enough money to cover the deductible. im just afraid of not getting enough money and having it all go to the lawyer and hit the negatives then end up having to fork money out of my pocket for the rest of the court fees. any lawyers on here able to offer me advise? do i have a strong enough case to come out on top?

ouch man that really sucks.
I hope this man has any moral fiber and dishes out the cash.
if not, I definitely thing you have a case for a lawsuit, but no idea bout fees and if it will be worth the trouble.

Good luck man

If you took him to court then, I believe, you can also sue him for the cost / court fees. I'm sure someone is more savvy with the law and will correct me though, but it's just a thought.

If it's like anything else in this world though, you'll end up dishing out about as much money as you receive, leaving you back at square one. It's very unfortunate. :/

Some good ole' vigilante justice!

I must admit, I'm guilty of a case of vigilante justice my self. I was a lunch one day, parked the car near a window and ate while watching my car. (I had it for just 3 days at this point) A guy in a blue Honda Civic opens his door extremely hard and smashes it right into my passengers side door. I calmly confronted the man and all he said was "Deal with it, **** happens". (There was a dent and about a 3" line of blue paint on my passenger door) Needless to say, I was pissed. I would have punched him, but he was like twice my size. So, I waited for him to leave and followed him home and knocked out his tail lights after he went inside. I'm not to be ****ed with. I had an adrenaline rush that lasted about an hour, I couldn't stop shaking -- that's how pissed I was. I guess I'm no better than him, but this made me feel better about my self.
/end story -- believe it or not your choice

Try looking into the small claims court in your area. The court costs are reasonble and in most jurisdictions you can sue for up to $5000. Additionally there are no attorneys fees b/c you will be basically representing yourself. Here is a page i found for the New Orleans and they should have FAQ link which should answer most questions.
