I've seen oil make a 4-6 hp increase at the crank shaft on a race engine before but anything beyond those kind of conservative numbers I tend to dismiss. I watched Clements Automotive in Spartanburg, SC dyno a built 2300 cc Ford 4 cylinder motor on Kendall 20-50 racing oil then switch out to Amsoil Series 2000 20-50 and pick up 4 horse power on the first pull and 6 on the second pull. But 15 at the rear wheels is just funny to me.

I once gained 138 HP on a Honda by replacing a fuse....it was the main line that powered the whole car, lol.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, so the place that you dynoed your car is in fact the dealer for oil. Hmmmm...that must mean the dyno is %100 valid and you did in fact gained 15whp after the oil change.

Since we're talking about HP gain, I'm thinking of getting this gaiz. Let me know what you think.

Well there ya go. The shop is trying to boost sales on this magic oil, so they fudge the numbers. The best advertisement is word of mouth...

Sounds like to me that they may have been adding a correction factor to your second dyno to sale more oil. Or the ambient air sensor was removed scewing the results.

Saturday, I say what a screwed up or misplaced ambient air temp gauge can do to a dyno. A turbo'd intengra that normally puts down 275 whp did 399 whp at the same boost level.
