so you're just gonna get a new car instead of trying to find your old car?
lt's your choice but that's not what l would do...l'm sure you spent at least $26k to get it.

What are you talking about? His insurance will cover the cost of the new one. Why would anyone want a car back after it's been stolen and used as a get away car?

That's what I meant to say. I had my car broken into and all the stereo equipment stolen while at a body shop. Their insurance covered replacement value for everything.

It sucks that it was stolen, but it couldn't have happened at a better place! You don't even have to worry about rising insurance rates. Make sure they also pay for any personal belongings that were in the car as well as any aftermarket or upgraded parts.

How did they start the car without the key? Did they break into the shop to get the key? Sounds like it might have been an inside-job...

Don't you always do that if you leave it there overnight?

They would have had to have had the key at the shop. That's a given. What I'm wondering is how the crooks got it. Did they break into the shop or did a buddy who works there set up the heist?

Yeah I know what you mean. Would they have had the time to say "look there's a 350Z, let's break into the shop and look for the key"?

Sounds like a good reason, but still a little fishy. Isn't leaving keys in cars just asking for a "break-in"?

Thats pretty wild man. So that means they had to see your Z in the locked up shop and break in to steal it!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like an inside job to me also. I hope everything works out good for you bro.

I think the police need to get better pursuit vehicles (maybe some turbo-charged Zs).

How many of us have an installed tracking system? LOJACK? GPS2000? etc.

This is my biggest fear. Other than Global Thermonuclear War.

gps is so easy to bypass tho, just gotta put it under cover and its worthless, meaning garage, parking deck, or even a tent. to me, thats good reason to atleast NOT put the sticker they probably give you on the window, better they dont know it has that or else they will know how to easily bypass it.

lojack works in those situations, but it cant pinpoint a location, which can become a problem if they park it in an industrial park(which warehouse is it in?), but it gives a general area just the same.

anyway, if theifs steal my car, I just want to make sure that its good theifs, not some jackass kids that get caught 3 days later.
