Sell my Z and buy Lotus Elise?
Should I sell my Z ('04 350Z with 16,000 miles) and buy a Lotus Elise ('05 with 6,000 miles) or buy bolt ons for the Z and keep it? I can think of pros and cons for both cars but I am stuck because I like both of them. Could you justify paying over $700
a month for a used Lotus with no warranty or just keep the Z and make it better?

I traded my Elise for an 07 Nismo and couldn't be happier. The Elise is a really fun car, but is really a track car. On the road it's high level of steering response requires constant attention and being a fairly exotic car attracts every boy racer and lookie loo on the road. Parking it in a lot and it unattended is a risk--I have actually come out to find people sitting in my (locked) car with the alarm blaring. Also plan on being tailgated by people wanting to get a closer look--understand this is a car with no bumpers and even a tiny prank in the rear is a $12k issue--the front is less only $8k. Don't get me wrong, it was the most fun I have had on the street, but it wasn't worth the hassle.
If you plan to use it primarily on the track, that's a different story--in that role it's perfect.

the elise seems to be going for around 30-35k used now, ive told myself that once I am able to afford a 30k car, i will buy this one... im young..i can deal with a stuff ride, and no cargo room... if you can afford it, i would do it.
