Hi there folks.. this is my 1rst thread.

So I live in the south of Switzerland, and have been reading this forum for more than 1 year. I currently own a S2k, and am planning on getting a new 350z 08 model around about the sept. - oct. period.

First big question : I am planning on getting my self some 20inch rims.
Have spent months on deciding wheather 19's or 20's are best. And I'm leaning towards 20's.

I'll show you the model that I'm interested in.

Can anybody give me some advise here ? I don't know what size to go for.

Was thinking 8.5 front, and 9.5 rear. Obviously to prevent understeer.
From personal experience it's always easier to handle a car in corners when the front wheels are less wide than the rear.
What do you guys suggest ? I also would like to go with an ajustable suspension set up. maybe KONI, KW or BILSTEIN.

And last of all a bodykit : front, rear bumber, side skirts. tinted windows all around. so that's my personal project. simple, not to expensive but it should be a blast.

Last of all, can anyone give me some links where I could order rims (at wholesale prices) online ?? much appreciated.

Thanks guys, take care

hi Kentucy_Kid (Don't understand the name). You will probably have more luck browsing and searching this forum to form your own opinions than you will asking directly. More than likely everyone will just tell you to search. You will learn a lot more by just absorbing over time. Luckily it sounds like you have a while.

IMO those wheels will look hideous on a Z.

Looks like you ninja edited the wheel link. Good thinking, I will forget they ever existed.

EDIT: STOP EDITING! LOL

those wheels are going to look hideous. welcome to the boards
a staggered wheel setup is ideal for z's [they come staggered from the factory.. less wide in front, more wide in back] but if you're going for 20's don't you think 8.5 and 9.5 are a little too thin?
and ummmm since you want 20's you obviously aren't THAT into the handling/steering capabilities.. so at least make it look good and go a little wider

just my opinion.. oh and please don't buy random pointless mods off ebay

Stick with 19's...
and 8.5/9.5 are the prime choices, along with 9.5/10.5

congrats on a wise decision.....

i have had 20s and 19s....and find 20" tires to be cheaper due to the abundance of OEM 20s on the road today.

I suggest you go with a 9.5" front and 11" rear with low 20 offsets regardless of wheel diameter.

Anyways....welcome aboard...make sure to find us all some nice swiss women to ooogle at

Oh yea...my FAV combo is a 19" upfront and a 20" rear...looks amazing because the tire sidewall retains the same thickness both front and rear.

And most important..SWISS WOMEN!

Hi there NISMO, it's because I'm a Nicky Hayden fan (motogp), and he's known as the Kentucky Kid... so thats why

ps. I saw those rims on a PEARL WHITE Z, and believe me it's a stunning effect. lamborghini style

Hey there, thanks for your reply.
Yeah, now that I think about it 9.5 isn't really that wide.
Was thinking of spacers, but they aren't really very safe (so they say)..
I'll be looking for something wider then.. maybe 11.5 or 12.
I'm aming to get that visuall effect where the wheel occupies all the space right up to the mudguard

Nope.. not even close to buying them. I'm still busy looking around .. way to early to start thinkin about buying.

As I said before I saw these giovanna wheel rims on a pearl white Z and it really did look fantastic. I guess it's one of those things that u must see with your own eyes to believe.

I would have never even considered them had I not seen that white Z

Hey noahz.. thanks for the info.

Just a small question.. sorry for the ignorance... but what exactly does *with low 20 offsets* regardless of wheel diameter mean ?? ..something to do with camber ??

sry again .. anyway thanks for your answer

will hook all u guys up with some swiss women.. no worries there

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/...jsp?techid=101

it has to do with how flush the wheel will line up with the fender. The closer to the fender the better, the more "tucked" the uglier it looks.

honestly dude, those wheels are going to look gross on ANY car. i've seen similar plate-like wheels on a z and it's broken my heart.
