Default Quick Question : Blinker Clicking Noise?

Hey guys,

Isn't the blinker supposed to make a mild clicking noise to let you know its on? Mine doesnt.

Like, It makes no noise at all....the blinker lights work, but, no noise is made...

Yes, there should be a audible clicking sound when you use your blinker. Have the dealer check it out.

It is audible, but it's the quietest I have ever had. There have been a couple of occasions when I forgot the blinker was still on because it was so quiet.

There have been reports on the forum of the blinker clicking quitting before. I believe the person had the dealer fix it. It may be a weak clicker, but the blinking seems to work OK. You will find the thread with a search.

I like the noise too...it's different than the usual clicking in most cars.

A couple of weeks ago, I finish washing my Z, take her out for a spin, and realise that the blinking sound is no more. It was very strange. I thought water has got into places where it shouldn't have, and it got me all worried.

I turned off the ignition and back on again. Still no sound! I turned the ignition off again, this time I heard a pathetic beep-like sound coming from the speaker! Damn! Turned her back on, check the blinker, it sounds fine now! No problems since then!

Get yours checked by the dealer.

Ah... the service manager asking me if I've had any issues with the signals makes a bit more sense now. I wonder if its an issue that Nissian is thinking of looking more into.
