After going 182 mph on my bike, I don't ever feel the need to try the Z. It's no use. I could never get the same rush in my Z.

I've done 132 in the Z. I've yet to find a stretch of highway in Los Angeles to hit the limiter on. :P

It depends what year your Z is. The 03 Z have a speed limiter at 155. It is possible to have your computer reprogrammed to remove the limiter and change The fuel map. I have taken my 03 Z to 156. The only reason I was able to get the extra 1 mph is I hit a hill.

Just need a counter-clockwise turning screwdriver. The governor location is printed on the cover of the fuse box.

Yep, the only drawback in Austria is the speed limits. But, hey who's to say you can't make a run onto a German Autobaun for a weekend get away.
Like you would really have to get away if you were in Austria.

Vielen Dank!

Coming from a guy who gets from 50-159mph in 13 seconds, and who has run into the limiter plenty of times you are FOS!!

The car will hit 159mph and stop accelerating, no more speed after, even WOT, downhill, whatever. You posting that is proof you've hit 160mph+ only in your dreams

LOL Wes you should've seen this coming.

And I agree with ZR-Yancy. After reaching 155+ in my old Evo no need to prove anything with the Z. Guess I matured... a little. LOL Rather get to 75 faster than proving I can do 150+. The instant torque is my pleasure. LOL

Every since I started autocrossing, top speed hasn't interested me that much. The Z is so stable that 159 in a straight line feels like 70 with more road/wind noise.

IMHO, autocross/road racing/twisties in general- > straight-line anything.

Sorry sir you are wrong. Maybe not in the DE but in the HR it's possible. There is a 150 mile stretch between San Antonio and Houston, TX that i drive quite frequently due to college in SA and home in Houston. I have hit the 160 mark on the digi readout and have no EFFING reason to lie on a forum. I am pretty effin appauled you would try to call me out on something like that. WOW I BET YOUR ***** FEEL BIG NOW "coming from a guy who goes from 50-1,000,000 MPH IN 2 SECONDS" i dont give a **** who you are or what you do with your Z but I, as a Z owner and enthusiast, post REAL TALK on the forums. Maybe you should effin keep your mouth shut until YOU yourself have tried it in a 2008 HR with 5,000 miles on it w/o TCS.

I don't know why people like you exist, those who doubt everything just because THEY THEMSELVES haven't done it but it really gets to me.

I hope you hop in an HR or hell RIDE WITH ME and see that you are, indeed, an idiot

159 is what's indicated on the digital speedometer.

The actual speed is probably lower. Most mags say the Z is limited to an actual 155 MPH.
