Test Drove 350Z Today - RX8 Tomorrow
test drove a 350Z today at the dealer in Vincennes. ran smooth, very nice, quite impressive, not sure what else to say. besides, the owners wife was a sexy babe too!
going to Owensboro tomorrow to test drive an RX-8. going in with an open mind, and give the RX-8 a fair shake. also going to talk with the folks at Champion Ford-Mazda in Owensboro and see what they have to say.
i know everyone is waiting with great anticipation as to which one i end up buying - the 350Z, the RX-8, or ultimately neither. just wanted to keep everyone update.

We've actually been waiting for you to join this forum just now and then we couldn't wait to see what car you pick out of those options. The RX-8 is obviously superior. Thanks for making us realize the error in our ways. Z FTL,
. Oh wait, we like sports cars, I almost forgot.

I test drove a 05 RX8 before I bought my enthusiast, the gears are damn short on the Mazda, mostly 1st & 2nd gears, also I hated the 4 seats. I have a Mazda B2200 PU so I had to at least see what Mazda was offering. Still glad I got another Z car & happy with the Mazda truck too.

these are the two cars i am considering, and folks, i must admit, i liked the looks/style of the RX-8 much better. the 350Z was unlocked, and i opened and peeked in, but didnt sit down. the RX-8 was all locked up, so i didnt get a looksee inside.
i am going to the Nissan dealer friday night and check out the 350Z cars, and then perhaps to the Mazda dealer saturday afternoon to check out the RX-8 cars.
decision time is rapidly approaching. only about three weeks left in that $3,000 rebate Mazda is offering.
Mike
p.s. did i mention the RX-8 looked really sharp?

Ok Mike good stuff, I used to own a RX8 great car fun to drive, but right now I own a 08 Z and love it far more. I just hated the lack of after market support for the car. But it is much better now from what I understand, as long as your having fun.

stay away from rx-8. google about it. that is the worst car ever. that 1.3 liter rotor eats more gas than a 3.5 v6... and has a ton of problems.
once again, google it.

From one Southern Indiana-ian (my word) to another, buy the Z. There's an awful lot of sweet roads out your way to flip the rear of the Z out. That is, of course if you miss the speed traps. (I went to Vincennes for school).
