Irvine the city might be safe, but UCI campus parking is pretty bad. My girl graduated there and when I used to go over, apparently half the people don't know how to park and the other half just have no courtesy... Sorry bout what happened, but yea, a lot of drunk idiots happen to go there~

 

A lot of drunk idiots go to every school, I actually thought UCI wasn't so bad.

 

No I didn't sleep with anyone's gf. Yeah I don't think campus police is going to do anything about it either. They are probably just thinkin "some drunk kid ran up this person's car and he's just mad. He'll get over it after awhile, we'll just tell him we will keep an eye out." Not many people think much about the car unless it's a ferrari that got ran up or something. That's what makes it depressing.

I don't know what campus police will do, unless they caught the *****. Somebody tried to do a hit and run to my car at the ARC, but the campus police saw it and told me to call them. Turns out they asked me whether they wanted to bring the case to UC Regents or to have him pay for the damage. Unfortunately I couldn't do both, so I settled for the money. We got an estimate at an expensive place but ended up going to somewhere cheaper, so we made some money while at it.

There are some serious tools at UCI though - I remember somebody taking all the Honda H's when I was a freshman in Middle Earth, along with all the bad parkers and ricer fly-bys.

As for safety at Irvine... by coincidence I've met the second person ever shot there... there were like five at the time, over 30 years or so
