Default How many of you interested in a Auto-VDC-OFF kit?

I will soon be making available a kit that will automatically disable VDC every time you start your car (you will still retain the functionality of the VDC button). I am making this kit primarily for those of us with a G since our cars seem to understeer quite a bit, but just wanted to see if anyone with a Z is interested too. Install should be about a 10 minute procedure and nothing on the car needs to be spliced or modified. tentative price is $75

Personally I forget to at the track and mess up my times by a whole lot, and in daily driving it's annoying to do it every time i get into the car. a bunch of people with G's expressed interest in this so i figured i'd make the kits available to people.

Just curious, but do you go to the stip, autocross, or go to the track?

If you do something with only a handful of runs in a day, and you screw one of them up by leaving VDC on, you'll see the point There are a lot of things to be thinking about as you get ready for your run, and this would be one less thing to worry about.

I personally stick a big sticker on the wheel to remind me now, but there have been instructions posted on how to mod the VDC switch to stay in the last state before shutoff, and I've been thinking about digging them out and doing the mod myself.

Doubt I'd buy one for $75, but I do see it is offering a benefit, even if you can just push a switch.

I can't seem to find those instructions. If you can find them, please post or PM me. Thanks!

I turn off DSC pretty much almost everytime I drive.....At the track, I wouldn't forget. It should be part of your track ritual, such as checking tire psi, torquing down the lugs, etc.

Actually, one was Fiddler's thread over at freshalloy I had bookmarked, now that I look. The original was by a guy named indycoupe. $75 probably isn't that bad of a price considering the parts, but it just isn't quite that big of a deal right now for me.

Indycoupe's original.

Second post by Fiddler.

I think I also read about using a toggle to set the default one way or the other.

mannish is correct IMO. I went to the track, and I kept the engine off, coasting down the lane to keep the engine cool. 3 times out of 10 I forgot to hit the button.

maybe Im just a newbie, but when it actually comes time to get there and drive, Im thinking about so much stuff that the VDC is completely lost.
