Most used dealerships say Warranty as is, as in NO WARRANTY, did you get an extended, cause you said it has warranty?

Question

How many miles are on the car?
Are there any tell tale signs that nitrous may have been installed and removed?

Well it will have whatever amount of warranty the car had on it from the initial purchase (5 years/60k miles). It is a 2003 so it should be close to the end of the warranty (or out of it)

Of course I would expect even if it in warranty is in effect that any dealer that works on it will find something wrong with it to deny coverage. I expect it has been abused in some way.

Some dealers pick up cars at an auction, trailer them back to their lot and put them in the line up and probably don't bother to check any of the fluids. One of the things you should always do when looking at a used car is pull the dip stick and check the oil. If it's barely showing on the dip stick and looks like syrup it's time to close the hood and walk away. You're going to pay a lot of money for the car and you shouldn't trust the dealer to do anything. Taking it to a trusted mechanic for a once over is always a good idea also. Judging from the screen name you chose I'd guess the tach hit the red line quite often just before the rod failed.

Was this a Blue track model??? I think i went to that place when i was looking for a 350z. When i test drove it they wouldn't let me take it on the high way. At first i did not think anything of it then i let my brother drive it while i was finishing up the paper work i paid cash got the plates and every thing then some guy out of no where coes up with some paper work that say that work was done to the car and how they had to repaint 3/4 of it i was like what the F@$k. Then my brother comes back and tells me the car won't go in to six gear.I made them tear up the paper work and give me my cash back. Bro just go get your money back!!!!!!

They wont want to give your money back, thats for sure. But since it broke down that same day, I would call consumers affair and get your money back!!!!!

Guys, whether dealer wants to or not, they are required by law to offer at least a couple of months in warranty. This is a good thing to protect the consumer from things like this. I know because 2 of my best friends are car dealers and it's a real pain for them. Because of that, they are very cautious as far as what cars they pick up and do their homework so that they won't get stuck with a car that blows the engine the 1st day off the lot. Dealer may huff and puff but that's the law. To the OP, make sure you let the dealer know you know the law. You should get your money back if that is what you want. Good luck.

Car has warranty, should I get new motor and possible tranny or should I get my money back.

Very disappointed since I looked so forward to this car.
do you know how to drive a car?

I wouldnt of bought a car with a grinding tranny-even with dealer promises. If anything I would have had it replaced first and then MAYBE considered buying ifi t didnt have other issues. Be smarter next time.

Thats a strange coincidence.....engine blows just after you purchased it. I would guess the person that traded it in to your dealer F'd the engine over and did some bandaid fix.
