Quick help with speeding ticket!!
Im writing a form to the judge in regards to my case I need some REAL numbers, I need to know how many feet does our car need from a stop position to achieve 60mph. I need these numbers to be submitted. thanks.

I believe the answer is roughly 250 feet. Working on more conclusive evidence. There was a thread on this very topic recently with links to the appropriate equations. Give me a minute and I'll find it.

I still don't know if I believe all the variables are being calculated correctly...seems to me like the distances should be larger.

you started at 0 and ended at 88ft/sec, this occurs in a minimum of 5.6seconds.(pick a slow mag time)
Velocity/time=accel
this means you can use average acceleration 15.7ft/s/s
ok, now you need to know how far this is?
.5*A*T^2
.5*15.7*5.6^2
246.18feet.
