I am ready to buy, but I would rather wait on an 04 if it won't be to much longer

edit: My bad, I should have stated that I'm interested in the coupe.

Default New Z

My roadster (special order) is due here on or around August 22nd. I understand '04's are already on the boat and on their way here.

Did these dealers have 03 on the lots? If so, I wouldn't beleive what they tell you about the date. They want you to purchase their 03 first.

Default 350z on the boat

there will never be a 2004 350z on a boat on its way to the U.S. For everyone who doesnt know that the 350z is manufactured in the U.S. it is.... i think in Virginia

Hmmm. Seems to me I watched them build 350Z's at the Oppama plant outside of Yokohama. In fact, I saw them get on the ship heading for the US. (Got to see the Roadster's while I was there.)

No Z's are produced in the US. Never have been.

The 350Z is made in Japan. Nissan has no plans to produce the 350Z in the US.. As for 2004 delivery, I really doubt any are on the boat.. We can expect the first cars to hit California by the end of August..

Steve (k2we) Dobbs Ferry, NY 10223 miles since Sept 17th...

I heard Ford Motoring Co. bought the 350z, now they're going to manufacture it, place a v8 ford motor, and call it the "Pony Z"

No, Mazda owns the 350Z now. The 2005 model will be powered by a three-rotor engine.

yup, k2we hit it. look for the 04' in late august, early september. for sure they've already started building the 04's. Try calling a dealer on the phone and telling him you want to order an 04 model. I'd be suprised if you don't get results that way.

yeah, call now if you want to order. The dealers have a window the first week of each month to place orders....

The '03 orders closed out last month and that's when '04 opened up, I placed mine June 6th, last day to place orders last month.

So get in there before this weekend or else you'll be stuck waiting until first week in August to order.

My delivery was estimated End of August, beginning of July as other people stated.

Default Being redundant...

Same story here.
Official roadster order went into the computers @ 4:00 PM CST on June 30th. I was told that each dealer can order a max of 3 roadsters this round - I imagine the pipe will open up next month.
I was also told 90 days.

Anyone order Daytona Blue?
Just wanted to see what your thoughts were on a blue car with a blue top. I know some of the big boys do it but I am just a little worried. Picturing a baby blue top on that beautiful deep blue car has caused me to loose many a nights sleep. I am hoping that it will actually be a really dark blue that kinda looks black until you get close to it. Time will tell.

I heard Chevy is opening Geo back up, and is giving Geo the Z. It's gonna be powered by hamsters in wheels.

THE 350Z THAT IS MADE FOR THE U.S. MARKET IS NOT MADE IN JAPAN. THE CARS ARE MANUFACTURED IN THE UNITED STATES. THE REASON I KNOW IS I TRIED TO GET A RIGHT HAND DRIVE VERSION OF THE CAR HERE IN THE STATES, REASON BEING I AM A RIGHT ARM AMPUTEE AND WANTED THE RHD SO I COULD GET A STICK SHIFT. ANYWAYS AFTER DAYS OF TALKING TO THE PEOPLE AT NISSAN NORTH AMERICA ABOUT GETTING A RHD PUT ON THE BOAT WITH THE REST OF THE U.S. CARS THEY INFORMED ME THAT THERE IS NO BOAT TO PUT IT ON AND THAT THE Z'S ARE MANUFACTURED IN THE STATES. MAYBE YOU GUYS OUGHT TO CHECK YOUR WINDOW STICKERS AND SEE WHERE YOUR CAR WAS BUILT.
