I kinda ****ed up my rim!!!
On the fourth I was in Dana Point CA and I accidentally scraped my left front rim against the curb. (it was a really really narrow entrance into the parking lot) Anyway, I go outside to check and there is a scratch on the very outer edge or the rim (the part the curves right next to the tire) My question is; is this something that is easily repairable??? The outer part is actually chipped off. It is a minor thing and I am probably the only one that notices it but I'd like to get it fixed if possible.
Sorry I don't have any pics, but I'm sure you guys get the idea.

A lot (??) of people have done this, including me. Although I got the passenger side. I did it when I had the car for about a day. I was freaked because my perfect car wasn't perfect anymore. But it rained for about three months so I put off fixing it and now I don't even care anymore. Like you said, you are probably the only one that will notice it.
But I have read about people sanding the dings down and even painting and clear nail polishing the spot. But I figured I would just end up doing it again anyway so I haven't fixed mine.

I'll look into getting it fixed and let you know how much it is.
Yea, that would be cool. I still will do something to it but it just isn't important now. The ding in my door is though!!
You guys getting any waves in Dana Pt.?? I'm thinking of going back to Baja in August or September, but I figured it must be pretty flat now.

The waves have been pretty calm lately nothing too exciting...but by the time August and September roll around they should be good to go.
For the ding on your door you should try one of those "Painless Dent Removal" people. I got a ding on my door a few weeks ago and took it to the local Nissan dealer who has a guy who does the ding removal and he did an awesome job and it was only $65.

What exactly does that repair do? Do they do the paint too, or just pull the ding out? It sure would be a lot less than the $700 bucks they want to repaint the door.
Thanks. Andy

I scraped my right front track wheel a couple months back. I ended up using the instructions I found on:
http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/940057.phtml
to repair the wheel scuff. I used a different brand of paint and the match wasn't perfect but its OK.

I've had that in the back of my mind for a while now. The ding is pretty smooth except for the missing paint in the middle and some smaller chips around it. The big center chip is about a 1/4 inch square and they must have bounced the door a couple of times because there are a series of scatterred small chips around it.

Yea, it sounds like I have to fix it myself with touch-up, or wait for some more damage and have the door repaired. To tell you the truth, I haven't done anything because I know you can't avoid *********. My car was parked on a residential side street at the curb. No possible way to door ding it unless you pulled up and did it maliciouly (but maybe I'm cynical).
