Are you considering to do WRC with 350Z?

With VERY rare exception, roll cages are for show only. They are not required at sanctioned drag events unless you have a sub 12 sec car (I think). Unless you are going to strip the interior and make a true track car, its all show and a hinderance to performance (weight).

While a properly installed roll cage can inprove the structural rigidity of the car, onle a dedicated track car would really benefit from it.

In other words, roll cages on street cars = "rice"

Default Not a bad question...

As a longtime SCCA racer, I can only imagine that someone will want to race the 350Z. It will probably be classed in 2003 and my guess (in door-to-door road racing) is it will be a T2 car.

The only way to do it right would be to dismantle the dash and part of the interior to weld it in. But unless you have a wish to really tear this car up, it's going to be difficult to do.

Currently, the word is that Nissan is not offerring any additional funds to campaign the car. The 350Z brand managers are simply hoping someone will want to race it.

My Redline 350Z Track model is not a candidate for roll cage installation unless Nissan steps up their support!

You should speak with Paul at Avalon Racing

I'm sure he will be coming up with one.

Personally I plan on doing a half cage. Autopower will hopefully make one. It will give me greater roll over protection and provide a mounting point for my harnesses.
