I'm 6 feet 1 inch tall with wide shoulders, I love my Z but I do not fine it to be a comfortable car for me. Think god it isn't my daily driver.

Roads arent to bad in TN. A lil bit of hills on my daily commute. Will be moving to FL, which is pretty flat.

I've been out of the car scene for about 4 yrs. Its time to pick up my hobby, mainly autocrossing, and some trips down the strip.

I'm not to worried about a bumpy ride, my old car was a 91 Mr2 turbo with a really stiff suspension setup and I drove that daily for about 4 yrs before it got totalled.
in that case i retract my earlier statement. the Z makes a kick azz autox, and semi DD. and it is prety good on gas for highway driving.

if you want some looks/performance/MPG's you may want to look at an Acura RSX. Gas milage of a Civic but cooler. But I find if you drive on the highway at 60 mph you can get 30 mpg in the Z, and it is plenty comfortable for 2 people.

+1

'07+, HR motor, Enthusiast - comes with Traction Control and a differential (not the best, but better than nothing if tracking), steering wheel controls, ect ect.

2003 enthusiast.

It works great for me. Less HP, but more Torque. Lightest of them all except base 2003.

Probably the cheapest at this point. Mine is better than when it was new. No problems, that haven't been fixed. Decent Mileage 21-28.

The only negatives: Radio is poor, rough ride on some roads, a little noisy inside. Needs a better cup holder and another outlet for Radar Detector/phone charger.

I don't know what that means. 99 percent of the 350Zs on the road are naturally aspirated.

I'd go with a late 07 or 08 Touring.

I have an 06 RT that I drive almost 200 miles to/from work. My drive is mix of 2 lane state highways (I LOVE IT!) and freeway (lots of State Troopers). I get 26+ MPG and have a tendency to baby it in town, do 75 (+) on the freeway, and do 65+ (++) on the winding two-lane roads.
The extra weight of the roadster cuts into my MPG, but is SO WORTH IT!

Any issues with the 07 compared to the 08? I've been eyeing a few brand new 07 NISMO's anywhere from 33-35k thats been sitting in dealerships for quite a while.

No kidding; I went to a local dealer looking at an 06 S2000; I exited the dealer with a pre-owned 04 350Z Touring. I am a big boy (6 foot 1; 218 lbs.) and the Z is a very comfortable ride; the S2000 feels like you are sitting inside a tin can and if you ever crash it, the rescue people will be peeling the car off you like a banana; I don't even want to imagine the comfort in a Miata or a Lotus Elise... I sat in one and I swore that if I ever hit a pothole in an Elise, it'd snap my back in two.

Anyways, I think the 350Z is one of the more comfortable 2 seaters out there.

'03 is the lightest. '07 & '08 have the most HP (but less TQ than '03).

I would recommend '08 Enthusiast. It isn't too heavy from all the creature comforts of the next trim level, but it comes with the LSD, cruise control, and TCS.
