06 Enthusiast (like mine) ... well equipped, xenon headlights, LED tails, stock 18" wheels, and the no hump hood. That combo can be found in no other year.

you obviously havent sat inside of an s2000 before

The newer, the better, 'xept for the 'O6 one (oil consumption problems in SOME of them, not all). To make sure, stay away from that issue year.

my 03 base(bought 4/03) is a keeper...very low maintenance and most issues were minor and could easily be dealt with either by myself and through warranty. i've never kept a car for longer than one and half year on the average since 87. My new 06 Mazda3 only lasted 3000 miles/2 months before i sold it(JD Power survey is right...mazda service = worst in the industry).

dude are you sure you can live with a Z on a daily basis coming from an Altima and FX, its pretty much a barebones rough riding heavy handed form the clutch to the shifter to the suspension make sure you drive one for at least a week or you might regret the purchase.

Totally do not agree with the above statement... The Z gets pretty darn good mpg for its performance etc (unless your coming from maybe a kia rio or a yaris )... great DD as well.

OP get the newest model you can afford.. Imo 07-08 as their the latest models until the 370 comes out so most if not all the bugs are gone.

Probably not. Less visibility with the wing, stiffer suspense so not as DD friendly. But to each his own...

BTW if you are interested in a NISMO Z, speak to MC (Matt). He has a black NISMO for sale. Low miles and he isn't far from you in NC.

I also owned a '91 MR2 turbo (7 years).

You will find the ride, performance, and fuel economy of the 2 cars very similar. cabin space is also similar (although the MR2 is somehwat nicer finished, with better ergonomics). And having both front and rear luggage compartments gives the MR2 a slight edge over the Z.

The MR2 actually handles a little better, but requires a little more driver skill to drive at the limits.

But make no mistake, I love my Z.
