Default Having a 'good Z day'.

I'm sure I can't be the only one experiencing this, but just to hear reports
from other owners, ever have certain days when your Z/G just runs perfectly?

Even with low mileage [38k] and extremely good maintenance, all synthetic
fluids, a fairly new CD009 tranny, etc, most days it just doesn't feel at 100%.
But sometimes, like my drive to work this morning, everything is perfect. Shifting was smooth, it pulled hard even at moderate throttle, just great. Made me wonder if I was still in the same car, and considered calling in sick just to keep
driving around for a while.

I don't doubt that some of it is perception, but the difference in performance between good days and bad days seems too dramatic to all be in my head.

Some of it is probably perception and your mood. I have noticed that on really cold days or when the Z is still warming up that the shifts from 1-2 are really rough.

I just got back from a spin in the Z. Sunny skies about 78 degrees. Oh what a joy she is to drive

dude, its the sun! We had a great weekend here in NYC and the car was TOP NOTCH!. I didn't want to stop driving it and get into my daily driver. I've read studies on effects of mood on experiences of daily activities and studies showed that people's mood do, indeed, significantly effect our perception of even the most mundane daily acts. I love this time of year!!!!

a good wash usually makes me feel really good about the Z and I perceive it to perform better. But I know its all in my head.

waxing the car makes it more aerodynamic so you can go faster

hahahaha I have the same feeling, somedays its great, some days its feels tired...and everything work fine...but its seems to be more lively somedays than others. Its not bad gas either cause on the same tank, I get good and bad days. Then I thought it was the texas heat, but Its ran excellent on 100+degrees days. I think if anything really serious was wrong a CEL would come on, but I know am not imagining things

well and we all know DB's are just faster anyway, so I'm sure that has something to do with it.

I think it's definitely the car. Last night I brought this chick back to my house in my DD, and it was cool. But this morning I drove her to her car in the Z, and I had to stop at a light and some guy pulled up next to me at the light and said "Nice Car".

Nothin feels better than someone diggin your vehicle.

I know what the OP means. Somedays the car seems to run better than others.

Also, most of the time I'm an awesome driver, but sometimes I have those days where my shifts are jerky and not smooth, etc.
