Red face Questoinable Informatoin about the Z I Ordered.

About a week ago, I went into a Nissan dealer here in ATL and decided to take over "someone elses" pre-order. Apparently this person dropped out and the spot opened.

They wanted 2500bux to HOLD the car. I said, heck no, ill give you 1500.

So, here is my question. 1) they claim the car comes in "sometime" in november. Cant they give me a SLIGHTLY better expectation date then that?

2) We agreed on MSRP yet when he gave me the cost of the car....it didnt work out to MSRP at all.

3) When i asked what features were ordered with this Performance Blue model....he said he DIDNT know, but he DID know this; it had.

AERAKPFLOSGD50s B17G

I figured out it means. AeroPackage, Aluminum Kick Plates, Floor Mats, Splash Gaurds. But what does the D50 and the rest mean???

If you add all tlhat up, DO YOU get 32,700?? I sure as heck dont.

4) I have order # 5263 W179207, cant they find the date off of that??

5)Lastly, and most importantly... On the "hold" form they wrote "Paperwork Charge 490.00" Did everyone else pay that much?? Or any at all??

Thanks
Scott

They can not give you a more exact delivery date until the car is on the boat and the VIN is released. I ordered in March, and I know that my car is being manufactured this month for October delivery, but that is all the info I will get until the VIN is released. The $490 is a garbage fee that should be called extra profit. I had to pay one too, but at least mine was $220.

Yes, it's possible for the car to coming in November. Since it is a "W" order number it was probably ordered at the tail end of the pre-order program in June. Anything with an S or T will be delivered sometime between now and the end of October. No, they won't be able to give you a better time frame at this stage.

As for the deposit amount that's up to the dealer. Most have paid between $1000-2000 some as high as $5000.

I think you've got all the options right.
Performance= 30,429
AeroPackage= 499
Aluminum Kick Plates= 79
Floor Mats= 69
Splash Guards= 119
Destination charge= 540
Total MSRP = 31,735 (per NNA web site)

I don't see where they get the extra $1000 from.

B17 = Daytona Blue
G= Charcoal cloth

Don't know what the $490 paper work charge is. Probably some kind of dealer markup to cover title transfer and the like.

Way to go VQ, Robbyn, Windsor!

We all have learned a thing or two over the past few months, and I think it's awesome how you guys jumped on this to help someone out with their legitimate questions/concerns.

I would just ask them what he difference is due to and explain since they quoted you MSRP, and let them explain that way you put them on the hot seat and maybe they will realize a mistake or you will know why the are overcharging and be able to argue that the had quoted MSRP. Be ready either way to discuss, get the actual MSRP breakdown from nissandriven.com and have it with you.

Default "D" 50S

"D" belongs with the SG....SGD = splashguards; 50S = 50 State emissions.

The trunk is carpeted, the mat is just a nice mat like the mats in the front with the Z logo, you can always get it at the dealr later.

Nice to see Zisme in the forum, any news in the Jacksonville arrivals?

If you figure 5% tax on MSRP then your doing O.K.
MSRP - $31,794.00
5% Tax - $1,589.70
__________
$33,383.70 + title fee and doc fee if any

Here's how mine is figured on Chrome Silver / Touring 5AT all acc. except nav. and side air bags.

MSRP - $32,954.00
DOC fee - $89.50
2.5% Tax - $826.09
Title fee - $16.50
__________
Total $33,886.09

No complaints here.
